چکیده
Background: Neonatal acute respiratory distress is a common cause for mortality and morbidity in preterm neonates. Non-invasive ventilation crucial neonates, nasal intermittent positive pressure continuous airway pressure. Recently, heated humidified high-flow cannula modes have been revealed as more efficient non-invasive mode improving functional residual capacity however, other studies questioned its efficacy safety comparison to ventilation. Many investigated the predictive factors that are associated with intubation failure of spontaneous breathing. Consequently, this study aimed at investigating prolonged hospital stay death Methodology: prospective multi-center, three-arms, parallel, randomized trial was conducted between four Egyptian NICUs on neonates syndrome delivered entered neonatal intensive care unit using either ventilation, or Mataria Teaching Hospital, Misr Qadema Mabarra Maadi Hospital Gameya Shareya 6th October city. A total 120 from were included study. Informed consents obtained parents each neonate participating full details about procedure benefits. Results: Our has detected lower followed by modes. In fact, median survival time 318 hours which shorter than case (360 hours). Moreover, adjusted odds increased 12% decreased 54% gestational age, weak following 34 weeks, decreases hazard 22%. Furthermore, apnea, pulmonary hemorrhage, bleeding necrosis well hypoventilation predictors failure. Conclusion: Despite known benefits mode, superior preventing both Future large-scale recommended assess factor increasing risk even death.

Comparison of Nasal Non-invasive Ventilation Methods in Preterm Neonates with Respiratory Distress Syndrome
Background: Humidified heated high flow nasal cannula (HHHFNC), nasal continuous positive airway pressure (NCPAP), and nasal intermittent positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV) are three nasal non-invasive ventilation methods. The purpose of this study was to compare these three methods in decreasing intubation and mechanical ventilation rate in preterm neonates with respiratory distress syndrom...
متن کاملCould mean platelet volume predict developing of bronchopulmonary dysplasia in preterm infants with respiratory distress syndrome?
Introduction: some studies have suggested correlation between MPV index and inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis in adults. Though bronchopulmonary dysplasia is also an inflammatory disease which develops in preterm neonates with Respiratory distress syndrome, we decided to study the possible correlation between the mean platelet volume (MPV) and the occurrence of bronchopulmonary...

Background: This study was targeted toward comparing volume-guaranteed (VG) ventilation with conventional pressure-controlled (PC) ventilation in preterm infants with respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) in terms of the facilitation of weaning and extubation and occurrence of complications, such as pneumothorax, intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH), retinopathy of prematur...

Background INtubate-SURfactant-Extubate (INSURE) method is one of the effective methods in treatment of infants with respiratory distress syndrome (RDS). This study was performed to predict risk factors for the failure of INSURE method in treatment of RDS in preterm infants. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 192 infants who born between July 2011 and April 2016 at women and...
